"Man, I am your monster." ~ George Seferis
Spider Lake is a psychological, narrative tale that examines the relationship between father and son. The story takes place in the remote wilderness of northern Maine. Peter Kidder and his 14 year old son, Ian, are on a camping trip that was intended to provide an opportunity for them to develop a closer relationship following a difficult separation, but they become lost and find themselves in a nightmare. And, as their situation worsens, Peter stumbles into his own personal nightmare--the unraveling of his own childhood and his relationship with his own father. Peter begins to break down. The only thing left that can save them is to find the courage ... the heart ... to survive.
But Peter and Ian are not alone in this wilderness. It is no creature of the Maine woods ... and it is not human. (SPIDER LAKE RELEASED MAY 5, 2009.)
